October has traditionally been Stewardship time at Grace culminating with the signing of pledge cards. We tend to speak from our abundance, often through parishioners’ testimonies. Most recently we were encouraged to Dream Big through a visioning exercise. 90% or more of us pledge annually.
Grace’s financial statements are published for all to examine, after approval by the Vestry. We do not have an outside mortgage on our building or property. This was accomplished by borrowing funds from an endowment gift.
Achieving a balanced budget has become a challenge, but we have a history of giving for expressed and specific needs. Various fundraisers have augmented our budget and are continually being reassessed.
